Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Duck and Cover Games LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our games, including Puzzle Horde (the "Games"), and this website. If you have questions, contact us at support@duckandcovergamesapp.com.
Information we collect
- Game account. When you first play, the Game creates an anonymous player account with a random identifier. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number to play.
- Email address (optional). If you choose to link an email address to your account so you can recover it on another device, we store that email address and use it only to sign you in and to send account messages such as sign-in links.
- Player profile. The display name you choose and your in-game progress, such as your sanctuary, heroes, resources and alliance membership.
- Chat messages. Messages you send in world or alliance chat are stored on our servers and are visible to other players in that chat.
- Gameplay and diagnostic data. Information about how the Game is used and how it performs, such as play sessions, crashes, device model and operating system version, used to fix problems and improve the Game.
- Purchases. If the Game offers in-app purchases, payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation of what was purchased, not your payment details.
- Support emails. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
How we use information
- To run the Game, save your progress, and provide multiplayer features such as alliances and chat.
- To keep the Game fair and safe, including moderating chat and preventing cheating and abuse.
- To fix bugs, understand performance, and improve the Game.
- To respond to your support requests.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to operate the Game, such as cloud hosting and database services (for example, Supabase) and the Apple App Store and Google Play stores. They process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy obligations.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your game data for as long as your account is active, and chat messages for as long as needed to run and moderate chat. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@duckandcovergamesapp.com with your in-game player name, and we will delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep information to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access or correct it, and to have it deleted. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us at the address above.
Children
The Games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and operation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
